It has not been possible to locate a ‘J. Parcell’ in the records of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission or in the ‘Soldiers died’ database as distinct from the J.F. Parcell who served in the Hertfordshires and was killed on the 10th September 1916.
The suspicion must be that they are the same person and that the information to include him on the Drill Hall War Memorial came from different sources as has happened on other war memorials.
