Born on 3 Apr 1893 in Baseen, Mandalay, Burma son of Sir Harvey Adamson K.C.S.I. and Lady Jane Charlotte (Leslie) Adamson of 36 Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington, London. Educated at Haileybury College 1907-11. He sailed from Liverpool arriving in Quebec, Canada on 13 Sep 1912. He was a clerk in Canada.

Wartime Service

Enlisted as Private 17092 British Colombia Regiment on 23 Sep 1914 in Valcartier, Quebec, Canada. Entered France on 31 Oct 1915. Obtained a commission to the Royal Scots Fusiliers and was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme fighting with the 36th (Ulster) Division at Thiepval.
