Son of Tom and Annis Battison (nee LINES) PALMER.
His parents married 4 May 1895 at St Helen’s, Wheathampstead, Herts. Tom died 24 November 1943 in Abbot’s Langley, Herts, aged 77, and was buried 30 November in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford; Annis died 11 April 1959 in Watford aged 87, and was buried 20 April, also in Vicarage Road Cemetery.
Tom was born 1896 in Watford, and baptised 30 June 1897 at St Andrew’s, Watford. He resided in Watford.
On the 1901 Census, aged 5 he lived in Watford, with his parents and two siblings. On the 1911 Census, a mechanic aged 15 [recorded as Felix], he still lived in Watford, with his parents and two siblings.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Coventry, Warks, and was formerly Private 7043 “A” Cycle Corps. He was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.
Additional Information
Unfortunately, Tom’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
