Born on 12 Oct 1891 and baptised on 7 Nov 1891 in Srinigar, Kashmir, India son of Col. Frank and Elizabeth Lucy Maud (Berkeley) Abbott later of 6 Pall Mall, London. Educated at the United Services College 1903-05 Haileybury College 1905-06 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned on 4 Mar 1911, 2nd Lieutenant Connaught Rangers and promoted to Lieutenant 9 Jun 1914.

Wartime Service

He served in India and then in France and was killed in action at Laventie.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
