Royal Masonic School Memorial, Rickmansworth

Pre War

Born on 22 Jun 1894 in Beverley, Yorkshire son of John Augustus and Kate Odlum later of 72 Burnbury Road, Balham. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1900-04. He worked as a gardener nurseryman in London and then emigrated to Canada on 25 Apr 1913 on the Victorian from Liverpool to Montreal and became a farmer in Saskatchewan. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

He joined up in Jan 1915 and entered France in Aug 1915. He fought at Ypres, the Somme and was killed in action in an attack south-west of Thelus during the capture of Vimy Ridge.
