Son of Elizabeth REEVE (formerly NUTTY, nee CHURCH) of Northampton, and the late Richard NUTTY.
His parents married 1892 in the Northampton district. Richard died 1917 in the Brixworth, Northants, district aged 54. Elizabeth remarried 1919 in the Northampton district to Frederick W REEVE, and died 1950 aged 77; Frederick died 1945 aged 64; both in the Daventry, Northants, district.
William was born 1894 in Northampton, and resided in Northants.
On the 1901 Census, aged 6 he lived in Wellingborough, Northants, with his mother and one sibling. On the 1911 Census, an apprentice gas fitter aged 16, he lived in Watford, with his parents and one sibling.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in London 11 September 1914 for Short Service (three years with the Colours): a gas fitter aged 20, 5’8″ tall, C of E, his next-of-kin was his mother of Northampton.
He landed in France 7 March 1915, was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 6 March 1915, and was killed in action.
