Born in 1894 in Lord Street, Hoddesdon son of Harry and Mary (Cox) Nightingale and living in The Laurels, Queen’s Road, Clewer, Windsor, Berkshire in 1901, 45 Hertford Road, East Finchley and working as a clerk in the furniture industry in 1911 and later in 8 Martindale Road, Hounslow, Middlesex.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Dorchester and was killed in action.
