Born in 1895 in Winchmore Hill and baptised on 11 Aug 1895 in St Mark’s Enfield son of Walter John and Elizabeth Nickels later of The Waggon and Horses, Ware, Hertfordshire.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford formerly 1982 Hertfordshire Yeomanry, entered the Eastern Mediterranean on 9 Sep 1915 and was killed in action in Palestine.
