Born on 18 Apr 1899 and baptised on 2 Jul 1899 in Hillingdon, Middlesex son of George and Eleanor Rosa (Bunce) Nicholls-Pratt of "Newlands," The Greenway, Uxbridge. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1907-16 he became an insurance agent.

Wartime Service

Enlisted in the Army on 19 Feb 1917 at Hounslow, Private, 37754 in the Training Reserve and was appointed Lance Corporal on 2 Jul 1917. He then obtained a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps on 20 Feb 1918 and passed his flying certificate on 15 Jun 1918. He was killed in a flying accident at Ternhill, Shropshire three weeks later.
