*1 The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records record an A Tagg with a connection to Hertford and confirm him to be in the Middlesex Regiment. We believe that he is actually Harold Arthur Tagg (this man), however these records do list him as a Second Lieutenant and not a full Lieutenant.
Born in 1894 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire son of Maj. James Tagg, A.V.C. and Alice Tagg who later lived at Garden House, London Road, Hertford.
Wartime Service
Entered France on 14 Aug 1914 and was killed in action.
