Pre War
William was the eldest son of Ebenezer and Tereza (née Howard) Moult of 22 St. Peter's Street, Albert Village, near Burton-on-Trent. He was born in St. Albans and was educated there and at Woodville, near Burton-on-Trent.
He was working as a Sanitary Pipe Joiner until he joined the Sherwood Foresters on the 17th of March 1909.
Wartime Service
When war broke out he volunteered for foreign service (August 1914) and went to France and Flanders with the Expeditionary Force.
William was killed in action on the 22nd of October 1915 near Trones Wood.
