Pre War
Born in 1890 and baptised on 23 Feb 1890 in the Ford, Little Hadham son of Henry and Sarah Morrison.
He lived in Little Hadham in 1901 and then in Dunmow in 1911 working as a waiter in Felstead School.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Hertford, entered France on 27 Apr 1915 and was killed in action. 1st Bedfordshire War Diary Notes: From the 3rd to the 5th of September attacks were made on the enemy lines at Falfemont Farm and Wedge Wood. The 1st Bedfordshire Regiment went into action with 20 officers and 610 O.R (other ranks). They succeeded in their objectives, but lost 17 officers and 289 other ranks.
