Pre War

Born on 25 May 1870 in Armagh, N. Ireland son of the Rev. Canon William Moore James Morgan LL.D. (Headmaster of the Royal School, Armagh 1869-1891) and Wilhelmina Frances (Hartford) Morgan. Educated at Haileybury College 1884-85 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He obtained a commission in Royal Irish Fusiliers in May 1891 and transferred in 1894 to the Army Service Corps as Lieutenant, was promoted to Captain in Jun 1899 and served in South Africa. He was promoted to Major in Mar 1906.

Wartime Service

Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in Oct 1914 and was assistant Director of Supply in Boulogne. Accidentally killed on active service by a shunting train in Boulogne. Awarded DSO posthumously.
