Born on 11 April 1880, son of Ann and John Henry Miller. Baptised on 25 April 1880 at St George's, Tufnell Park, in the parish of Islington (Holloway). His parents were living at 135 Tufnell Park Road at the time and his father was working as a Clerk. Parents later lived at 256 Barcombe Avenue, Streatham Hill, London. Father died in 1906. 1911 Census: Living at Westwood, West Meon, Petersfield, Hants and working as a gardener (servant) to Captain Edward Adderley.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Wormley, Herts. Served in France and Flanders. Killed in action.

Additional Information

War gratuity of £4 granted to mother Annie. Probate granted to Annie Miller on 13 May in London. Effects of £124 3s 2d. Address given as 3 Wharf Road, Wormley, Broxbourne, Herts. (Annie Miller is listed as his widow, but it is assumed to be his mother). H
