Born on 22 Jul 1882 and baptised on 13 Sep 1882 in Paddington, London son of Robert Blair and Elizabeth Dorothy (Rundall) Swinton. Educated at Haileybury College 1896-97 and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He married Naomi Millicent Francis Foster on 21 May 1910 in St Mary’s, West Kensington, London and had two children.
Wartime Service
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Royal Engineers on 23 Jul 1901 and appointed Captain on 16 Mar 1911 and Adjutant. Died at Bombay, India.
