Born 21 Jul 1886 in Esher, Surrey son of James Leslie and Ellen Caroline Sweet later of Woodham Grange, Horsell, Surrey. Educated at the United Services College 1902-05 and Trinity Hall College, Cambridge. He became a solicitor in London and then emigrated to Canada in 1913.

Wartime Service

Enlisted Private 27958 15th Canadian Infantry on 22 Sep 1914 in Valcartier, Quebec, Canada and obtained a commission in the Royal Scots Fusiliers and entered France in Jun 1915. He was killed in action at Givenchy.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
