Frederick was born in 1889, some records give Furneux Pelham and others Albury.


He was the son of Thomas and Emma Dedman and the brother of Oliver Dedman, who was also killed in WW1. His father was a grocer’s carman in 1891 and living in Albury, the re

Wartime Service

He was employed on railway construction in the Canadian Labour Bn, and died of wounds on 21st June 1916 in the New Zealand Stationary Hospital with a fracture of the skull from gunshot wounds. Very sadly his marriage only lasted a few weeks.

Additional Information

After his death he was recorded as the son of Thomas and Emma Dedman, of Albury, Herts; husband of Maria Emily Dedman, of Arkesden, Newport, Essex.
