Pre War

Thomas George was born on 22 Oct 1892 to Thomas Deamer, a brewer’s labourer, and Louisa Jane (nee Cox).The family were living at Moreton End Lane, Harpenden.


On the 1901 the family were at Houghton Regis, Beds. In the 1911 Census they were living at George Street, Dunstable where Thomas George was a packer. 

Wartime Service

Thomas enlisted with 1/7 (Robin Hood Rifles) Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby) Regiment as Private 269797.


He gained promotion to Lance Corporal. He was killed in action on 29 Jun 1917. He is remembered on the Arras Memorial.
