Son of George Marshall and Emma (nee Meadows) of ‘Bailiffs Cottage’, Greenwood, Hadley Wood.


1911 Census living at Baliff Cottage, Greenwood, Hadley Wood with parents and siblings. Occupation Carter Contractor.


Emigrated to Canada and was living in Saskatoon, occupation farmer, unmarried

Wartime Service

11 Jan 1916 enlisted at Saskatoon into the Central Ontario Regiment.


Whilst in training in Canada he was hospitalised with flu 10 -16 Sep 1916 at Camp Hughes.


15 Aug 1917 Killed in Action during an attack north of Loos. Reported last seen dead in no man's land.

$C 64 . 28cts Back pay and gratuities, but not showing to whom paid. No record of which medals issued on Canadian forms. But medals were issued and a Memorial Cross was sent to his mother. Brother of Francis Henry Marshall who also died whilst serving with the Canadian Forces
