Son of Henry/Harry Ricardo and Annie Louisa (nee COMYNS) LIDDIARD of Watford.
His parents married 31 January 1892 at St John’s, Walworth, Surrey. Harry died 1934 in the Watford district aged 74; Annie died 1941 in Croxley Green, Herts, aged 75, and was buried 9 July in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford.
Harry was born 9 March 1894 in Camberwell, London, and baptised 1 April 1894 at St John’s, Walworth.
On the 1901 Census, aged 7 he lived in Camberwell, with his parents and two siblings. On the 1911 Census, a junior mechanic’s assistant aged 17, he lived in Watford, with his parents and three/four siblings.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Watford; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 4 August 1915, and was killed or died of wounds received in action.
Additional Information
There are In Memoriams for William in the West Herts and Watford Observer dated 24 August 1918 and 23 August 1919.
Unfortunately, William’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
