Born on 21 Oct 1869 in Chithurst House, Sussex son of Capt. Henry King R.N. and Charlotte King. Educated at Haileybury College 1882-88 and Trinity College, Cambridge. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 3 May 1893, Lieutenant 16 Oct 1895 and Captain 13 Apr 1900. Served on the Indian Frontier 1897-8, Tochi Valley Expedition 1897 and in South Africa. Husband of Mrs. Dorothy Lee (Congreve) King of 8 Royal Avenue, Sloane Square, London. He had one daughter.

Wartime Service

He entered France on 20 Dec 1914 and was killed in action near Ypres.
