Pre War
Noel Keith born to Herbert Keith, stockbroker, and Jessie (nee Hancock) on 4 Jan 1884. There was a younger sister, Patricia, born in 1887. After school at Aldenham he followed his father’s profession of Stockbroker until the outbreak of war.
Wartime Service
He enlisted as a Private 876 with Inns of Court OTC and went to France 14 Jul 1915 having been commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, to Lieutenant 22 Jan 1915. He served with Army Cyclists Corps and 8th Battalion Kings Liverpool Regiment.
Noel was possibly serving as a Captain and also with the Machine Gun Corps when he was killed (22 May 1917) as notice of his promotion was gazetted 7 Jun 1917
