Pre War
Born in 1874 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of George and Ellen Johnson and was living at in Hillside Lodge, Great Amwell in 1881. He married Rosetta Jane Young on 6 Dec 1894 in Kensal Green, Chelsea. He was a furniture remover and lived in Paddington in 1911 with six children.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Fulham on 28 Aug 1914 having been enrolled in the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Regiment from 1896-99. He entered France on 27 Dec 1914 and was killed in action near Ypres.
