Born on 18 Jul 1899 and baptised on 17 Sep 1899 in Dorchester, Dorset son of Gilbert James and Helen Hunt later of "Moorside", Avenue Road, Christchurch, Hampshire.
Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1909-15 and joined the London Joint City and Midland Bank.
Wartime Service
Enlisted on 20 Aug 1917 in Bournemouth and entered France in Mar 1918 to counter the German spring offensive and was killed in action at Mesnil-Martinsaart.
