Born in 1896 in Margaretting, Essex son of Alfred and Ellen Martha Humphreys later of 15 Bradley Road, Enfield Lock, Enfield, Middlesex. In 1911 he was living in Warner Road, Ware and working as a railway porter.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Hertford, entered France on 23 Jul 1915 and was killed in action near Ypres.
