Son of William Wallace and Mary Naomi (nee CARPENTER) HIGHAM of Watford.

His parents married 8 May 1897 at St Peter’s, Morley, Yorks.  Naomi died 1932 in Watford aged 59, and was buried 23 April in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford; William died 1961 in the King’s Lynn, Norfolk, district aged 84.

Frank was born about 1898 in Churwell, Leeds, Yorks.

On the 1901 Census, aged 3 he lived in Basingstoke, Hants, with his parents and one sibling.  On the 1911 Census, aged 13 he lived in Watford, with his parents and five siblings.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in London; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.  

Additional Information

There is an article about and a Death announcement for Frank in the West Herts and Watford Observer dated 28 April 1917. Unfortunately, Frank’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
