Son of the late George and Sophia Stratton; husband of Alice Stratton, of 184, Hope St., Grimsby. Born at Hertford.

Wartime Service

Fitzroy was a 132 GRT steam trawler completed in 1891 by Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. Ltd.for Ellis & Johnson of Grimsby and registered there as GY 375. By the time of her loss she was owned by Northwold Steam Fishing Co. Ltd. She was reported missing on 29 November 1915 and given the location and date was likely to have struck a mine.
