Born on 26 Dec 1872 and baptised on 3 Nov 1872 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire son of Dr Hugh Bold and Christian Frances A. Wynter of Canon's House, Taunton. Educated at the United Services College 1886-90 and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He was commissioned on 1 Feb 1893 2nd Lieutenant Royal Field Artillery, Lieutenant 1 Feb 1896 and Captain on 21 May 1900. He married Eva Mary Florence Incledon-Webber on 3 Nov 1898 in Chelsea, London and lived at Syrencot, Heavitree, Exeter. They had one son.

Wartime Service

He entered France on 17 Aug 1914 and was killed in action at Verneuil, north of the River Aisne.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
