No Service Record was found. John Henry enlisted at Bedford in Mar 1915 as Private G/ 42238 in Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment. The National Roll Record for J H Wright of 11 Luton Road states enlistment in Mar 1915 and service from in Egypt, which is incorrect as 11 or 12 Battalions Middlesex served only in France & Flanders.
It is not known when John Henry joined 11 (Service) Battalion, Middlesex but in Nov 1917 they were engaged in the Battle of Cambrai (20 Nov=3 Dec 1917) and John Henry was wounded. He died from his wounds on 25 Nov 1917.
