Wartime Service

Hugh was wounded in the leg & taken prisoner on March 26th, 1918. He returned to England in August 1918 and soon after had to have his leg amputated. He died in Edmonton Military Hospital on July 16th, 1919 and was buried at Thorley on July 22nd, 1919.
