Born on 12 Aug 1898 youngest son of Henry George and Edith Georgina Harding. Educated at Haileybury College 1912-15 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.
Wartime Service
Member of London University O.T.C. he obtained a commission in the Leicesters and entered France on 23 Jun 1918 and was killed in action. M.C. “For conspicuous gallantry in leading his platoon over a partially destroyed bridge over the river, under heavy machine gun fire, and establishing a post on the other side. He then made a daring attack on an enemy post, which he captured in spite of determined resistance.” (London Gazette 2 Dec 1918)
