Son of Frederick and Kate (nee HICKS) WOODFORD; husband of Gladys Lilian (nee WAKELING) WOODFORD.
His parents married 13 July 1886 at St Michael’s, Waddesdon, Bucks. Frederick died 1941 in the Aylesbury district aged 74; Kate died 1955 in the North Bucks district aged 90.
Benjamin was born 1898 in Stone, Bucks, and married 1916 in the Aylesbury district; they had one child. He resided in Watford. Gladys remarried 1920 in the Watford district to William MARCH, and died 1 April 1967 in Watford aged 82.
On the 1901 Census, aged 3 he lived in Stone, with his parents and seven siblings. On the 1911 Census, a plough boy aged 13 he still lived in Stone, with his parents and four siblings.
Officially recorded as born in Stone, Bucks and was living in Watford when he enlisted in Oxford.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Oxford; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was presumed killed in action.

Unfortunately, Benjamin’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
