Biography
Thomas Drake was listed in the Absent Voter Records for Abbots Langley in Autumn 1918, Spring 1919, and Autumn 1919. He was initially identified from the Absent Voter Records and was not recorded elsewhere in the Abbots Langley Parish records. In the Absent Voter Records Thomas was listed serving with the Motor Transport section of the Army Service Corps (ASC-MT), with the rank Corporal, and his address was given at 64 Adrian Road, Abbots Langley.
A Thomas James Drake from Hemel Hempstead has been identified in the Births, Marriages and Deaths Records, and it is probable that this man, who was born in 1881 is the person listed in the Absent Voter Records. In the summer of 1914 he married at Watford.
No further information has been found about either men.
It is presumed that Thomas Drake survived the War.
