Born in Hertford in 1877 son of Joseph and Annie (Saville) Hammond. He was living in Oak Street, Hertford in 1891 and 1901 and with his sister in 13 Cromwell Road, Hertford as an insurance agent in 1911. He married Ada Duke in 1911 in Hertford.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Hertford formerly 269275 Hertfordshire Regiment and was killed in action.
