Pre War

Born on 13 Mar 1870 in London and baptised on 24 Apr 1870 in Old Charlton, London son of Lt. Col. Julius George Thomas Griffith R.E. and Anna Maria Griffith. Educated at the United Services College 1880-86. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant R.E. on 27 Jul 1888, Lieutenant 27 Jul 1891 and Captain 27 Jul 1899. Served in China 1900 at the relief of Peking. Garrison Engineer at the Presidency District, India in 1908.

Wartime Service

Served in Mesopotamia and died in Colaba War Hospital, Bombay, India.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
