Arthur Sebastian Gray was born in 1895 in Rickling Green, Essex, (nr Bishops Stortford) to William and Jane Gray . On the 1911 Census he was living with his family at Rickling and working as a Grocer's apprentice.
Wartime Service
He also served in the 5th Btn, London Regiment under Reg. No. 2519.
He received the Military Medal which was awarded for acts of gallantry and devotion to duty under fire. He died on 10 August 1918, probably during the Battle of Amiens.
Additional Information
His father William received a war gratuity of £13 10s and pay owing of £11 19s 8d.633.
