Born 13 Nov 1893 in Fox Bay, Falkland Islands, son of John Stella and Florence Marian (Cramp) Goodhart.
Educated at Haileybury College 1908 – 13 and Clare College, Cambridge. He was unmarried.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Chatham, Kent on 6 Aug 1914 as a dispatch rider. Mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 19 Oct 1914). He served in France at Mons and at 2nd Division HQ at Ypres until Nov 1914. DCM (8 Oct 1914).  He came home for five days leave, fell ill with typhoid fever and died at home in Colchester.
