Born in 1884 in Bedford son of Arthur Wells F.R.I.B.A. and Emily Randall Wells of 25 Cornwallis Gardens, Hastings, England. Honours, B.A. London University. He was a classics master at Hertford Grammar School and then Assistant Master in the Wanganui Collegiate School, New Zealand.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieut on 16 Jan 1915 in New Zealand and was killed in action at Gallipoli.
