Son of William John and Mary Ann (nee MILES or MILLS) WEAVER; husband of Edith WEAVER.

His parents married 22 October 1876 in the Amersham, Bucks, district. William died 18 November 1915 in Watford aged 65, and was buried 23 November in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford; Mary died 1925 in Watford aged 70, and was buried 25 July, also in Vicarage Road Cemetery.

William was born 1885 in Watford, and baptised 25 November 1885 at St Mary’s, Watford.  He emigrated to Canada May 1912 aboard the Canada from Liverpool to Quebec, a gardener, married, going to Winnipeg.

On the 1891 Census, aged 5 he lived in Watford, with his parents and six siblings.  On the 1901 Census, a carpenter and joiner aged 15, he still lived in Watford, with his parents and seven siblings.  On the 1911 Census, he is proving elusive.

Wartime Service

He attested 6 March 1916 into the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force: a carpenter, married, 5’4″ tall, C of E; next-of-kin his wife of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He was killed in action.

There is an article about William in the Winnipeg Evening Tribune, no date given.

His brother Reginald died 8 March 1918 and also features on Watford Borough Roll of Honour.
