Pre War

Born on 4 Nov 1886 in Middleton, Norfolk son of Herbert and Julia Garnett later of Addiscombe, Cranborough Road, Bournemouth. Educated at the United Services College 1896-1900. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 1907 and Lieutenant in 1911 in the Berkshires. He was seconded to the 1st King’s African Rifles in 1913.

Wartime Service

Killed in action at Kasao Stream, North Nyasa District.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
