Born in Colliers End.
In the 1901 census Herbert was shown as living with his parents William and Clara Game and 3 brothers in Colliers End. By 1911 the family had moved to Church Street, Buntingford. There was now another brother.
His was living in Buntingford when he in enlisted in Chelmsford, Essex.
Wartime Service
Killed action on 5 October 1916 whilst burying cable near Morlancourt, France. His name is recorded in the Unit War Diary.
Additional Information
His brothers Edward and Norbert were also killed in action. There is a stained glass window in St Richards Catholic Church, Buntingford commemorating all three brothers.
