Was said to be living in Loughton, Essex.
Wartime Service
He enlisted into Essex Regiment, 6th Bn, and served in France from 4 April 1916.
CWGC says he was attached to the 2nd Garrison Bn, Suffolk Regiment. The Register of Soldiers' Effects says he was attached to 1st Suffolk Regt.

Probate was granted to his widow, Elsie Mabel Fry on 28 June 1918, with effects of £11,622 10s 2d.
