Son of John and Julia Jane (nee WILSON) WARREN of Loughton, Essex; husband of Annie (nee BOTTING) WARREN of Leytonstone, Essex.
His parents married 8 May 1880 at St Nicholas, Loughton, Essex. John died 1933 aged 75; Julia died 1937 aged 79; both in the Epping district.
Arthur was born 1888 in Loughton. He was appointed Assistant Postman Watford March 1910, Postman R Watford August and December 1910. He married 7 July 1911 at St Mary’s, Watford; they had one child. He resided in Watford.
On the 1891 Census, aged 3 he lived in Loughton, with his parents and four siblings. On the 1901 Census, aged 13 he still lived in Loughton, with his parents and five siblings. On the 1911 Census, a postman aged 23, he was a boarder in Watford.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in London; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was presumed killed in action.

Unfortunately, Arthur’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
