Gordon's parents were William A and Elizabeth Franks.


In the 1901 Census, Gordon was 2, and living with his family in Pangbourn, St James. Gordon’s father, was a a manager of a coffee shop.


By 1911 the family have now moved and are living in Park Lane, Henlow, Bedfordshire. Father, William was now running a Laundry.

Wartime Service

Served on H.M.S. Pembroke.


Awarded the Victory Medal, British War Medal, and Star.
