Pre War

Son of Arthur Harold and Annie (nee JONES) FOSLER; husband of Louisa (nee TOOTELL) FOSLER.

His parents married 16 August 1884 at St John the Baptist, Islington, London.  Annie died 1922 in Watford aged 64, and was buried 30 May in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford; Arthur died 1932 in the Islington district aged 74.

Thomas was born 1890 in Islington, and married 1 August 1915 at St Saviour’s, Hoxton, London; they had one child.  He resided in Hoxton.

On the 1891 Census, aged 7 months he lived in Islington, with his parents and one sibling.  On the 1901 Census, aged 10 he lived in Hackney, with his father and two siblings.  On the 1911 Census, a newspaper clerk aged 20, he was a boarder in Hoxton.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Hackney, London; was entitled to the Victory and British War Medals, and was killed in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Thomas’ Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
