Born on 5 Sep 1896 in Wandsworth, London son of Arthur John and Kate Vince later of 12 Clifton Park Road, Clifton, Bristol.


Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1905-13 he then joined the London City and Midland Bank.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Battersea in Nov 1915, entered France in Jun 1916. He fought at the Battle of the Somme and then moved to Ypres where he was killed in action.
