Pre War
Harold came from St Leonard's near Tring.
Before the war he was working in a store, along with his sister in St Alban's.
Wartime Service
He was awarded the Military Medal but died only a few weeks later on 24.3 1918. I have his service information and what he was doing as a civilian before he died.
Harold John Underwood was recognised in the Times newspaper for his award but here was no description of how he won it.
