Pre War

Walter Everett was born in 1888 in Bishop's Stortford to George and Martha Everett, and baptised on 3 April 1892 at Holy Trinity, Bishop's Stortford. On the 1911 Census, he was living with his widowed father and sister Eliza at 18 Chapel Row, Bishop's Stortford and was working as a milkman for a dairy farm.

Wartime Service

He served in France from 11 November 1914 and was killed in action during the Battle of Festubert.

Additional Information

His father received a £3 war gratuity and pay owing of £4 2s 6d. Brother to William Everett also named on the Holy Trinity and Town memorials, Bishop's Stortford.
