Born on 17 Dec 1888 in Culford, Suffolk only son of John William and Anna (Wright) Duvall later of Walton Road, Ware.
Educated at Sherborne School, Selwyn College, Cambridge (MA) and Ely Theological College. Ordained in 1912 he was a curate in Liverpool and later Vice Principal, St Boniface College in 1914. He was unmarried.
Wartime Service
He obtained a chaplaincy in the Army in Jul 1915 and served in France and then in Greece where he was killed in action while in charge of the forward stretcher bearers.
