M/11997 Percy James Newman - Diary, documents and cuttings
Information kindly provided by Robert 'Bob' Ashley Barton.
Born in Berkhamsted, a mechanical engineer an became a submariner after enlisting on Vulcan (H5 Class submarine).
He died when the Vulcan was sunk by ramming in a disastrous mistake my the British cargo ship the SS Rutherglen.
